Memory Box
Can you remember being small? Being a baby and learning to crawl? Do you recall a favourite toy, maybe a teddy bear or a best-loved book? Look back at family photos of special occasions, perhaps holiday snapshots or a birthday or two. Remember a wedding or christening and find funny photos of your family members when they were young! Memories are special. Let’s make some more!

Remember Remember
Remember Remember the 5th of November, gunpowder, treason and plot! Be transported back to the 1600s where the noisy, bustling streets of London are a shock to the senses. Step back in time and imagine the smells, sounds and sights in old London town and the characters you might meet around every corner. We’ll explore Guy Fawkes’ Gunpowder Plot and all its explosive detail and discover what happened in the Great Fire of London.

CRASH! What’s that in the playground? Let’s go outside and take a look. Stand back everyone- it looks like a UFO has crash landed! Let’s find out the names of the planets… there’s Mercury, Earth, Mars…. Do you know the others? Do you fancy becoming an astronaut… you’ll need a pretty sturdy spaceship if you do!

Superheroes
KERPOW! Intergalactic greetings, young heroes. It’s time to rescue the planet from evil villains! Who’s your favourite superhero? Maybe your heroes are ordinary people who’ve achieved great things. Or is it those people who save lives in our emergency services that you admire the most? Superheroes have super senses. Use yours to identify mystery items by their smell, taste, sound and touch. What do true superheroes eat to keep their sense and special powers sharp? Is that phone box free? Please excuse me… I have to save the world! ZAP! WHIZZ! ZOOOOOM!

Dens and Dandelions
If you go down to the woods today you’re sure to have a surprise! Foxes, Badgers, Voles and Mice scurry along the woodland floor whilst owls glide silently through the tree tops. Deciduous or Evergreen? What can you find? Can you match a petal to its flower? Let’s PARTY down in the woods with Mr Fox and all of his woodland friends….

Carnival
Hot, hot, hot! Dancing feet, step to the samba beat! Shake it, shimmy, hands in the air, wave your flags in the cool night air. Come join the party down in Rio, keeping the rhythm with your party shaker. Bright colours, patterns and feathers… Look at my headdress and mask! Meet magical creatures from Brazil’s myths and legends and create your own too. Now we need to plan and celebration with fabulous music and song. Let’s invite parents and friends – they’ll all come along!
